East of India was established in 1991 to provide handcrafted gifts. The founders of the company travelled extensively to understand and meet the demands of their clients. The products designed under the East of India brand are designed with intricacy and delicacy and all products are handpicked in a workshop in Folkestone.

East of India is one of our favourite brands, and the owners John and Anne have built their business on ethical and environmental values.  The Folkestone office and warehouse uses solar power to generate more than half of their electrical requirements.

East of India contributes to tree replanting sustainability scheme in Indonesia, and they own 22 acres of ancient woodland to safeguard its future. “Best of British design” is East of India’s mission and their flair for innovative and refreshing design remains unbeaten.
